Privacy Policy
I’m eighteen, and I’m a staunch supporter of digital privacy — so much so that I avoid using the internet when I can! Even if I knew how to do shady stuff with your information, I wouldn’t do it.
Just to be safe, though:
- I won’t sell your name, email, or any other info about you to anyone. Ever.
- I don’t collect information from kiddos. If you’re under 13 years of age, get your parent to sign up for this stuff. (Even though I don’t really think my content is appropriate for ten year olds…?)
Huge Disclaimer!
I think it’s important that people who’ve dealt with mental illness be allowed to write about their own experience. On this blog and in my book, I only offer advice for dealing with issues I have personally encountered. I like to think everything I do is backed up by the most stringent of research, but that being said:
- I am not a mental health professional, a doctor, a lawyer, an actor, or a nutritionist. I haven’t graduated high school. I don’t have a degree in anything. I’m eighteen.
- The gold standard in mental health treatment will always be the help of a licensed professional. I personally never saw a therapist, but I do not see this as a good thing. Everything I went through alone would have been so much easier if I’d had professional help. If I could go back and do it all again, that’s what I’d do first. I suffered unnecessarily. I implore you not to make the same mistake.
- My experience is mine alone. The advice I offer is what I would tell a friend, and it should be accepted as one accepts advice from a friend: with a big grain of salt. I can’t guarantee anything that worked for me will work the same for you.
